It’s one of the most important things to consider if you want to achieve your health and fitness goals… And it’s just as important even if you’ve already got a Personal Trainer or have tried them in the past.
In my experience, the reason a lot of people struggle to feel like they’re in control of their health and body is because no one has explained how important the compounding effect of frequency is on their results.
Here’s what I mean.
The most common way to work with a PT is one-on-one, for one session per week. Chances are, you’ve tried that before. And while most of us already know that 1x per week isn’t optimal, it’s what most of us can afford, so we try and make it work.
Because seeing a PT twice or three times a week doubles or triples your cost.
So, you could say that while most Personal Trainers have the best of intentions, the normal way actually disincentives the exact behaviours you’re trying to improve on… For a lot of people, that creates a fair bit of cognitive dissonance.
The conversation in your head might be something like this:
“I want to do more with my trainer, but that costs me more, too. And I’ve already got so many other things to consider so unfortunately, I’m just going to have to find a way to make it work doing only one session per week.”
